I joined Habia Cable 27 years ago now. I started in production with cable manufacturing – I knew people who worked at Habia who spoke very highly of the company and said it was a good family business with good values. A former employee put in a good word for me, and I’ve been here ever since! Health, safety and environment (HSE) is a very broad area of work. I love how varied my role is, working with different projects, departments and colleagues – I’m involved in much of the systematic work environment management at Habia. The work environment and neatness are also a big part of this, implementing and performing 5S audits. Helping to improve well-being on so many levels is so rewarding – knowing my work is important and meaningful. And when visitors comment on what a nice, orderly factory we have here in Söderfors, it makes me really proud of what our team has accomplished. I’m always impressed by the breadth of business and technical knowledge we have here at Habia, as well as the sense of community and collaboration. There is so much to be learned from one another. I hope to spend the years ahead with my family, by the sea and in the north of Sweden, keeping fit and continuing to build a healthier and better work environment for my colleagues!
