Meet Badr from Söderfors, Sweden!

Badr’s life lesson: “I believe there is nothing impossible in this life. There is no challenge too great that cannot be conquered!”

  • Having graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Power Engineering from Damascus University, I worked in a range of engineering roles for ten years before I took my first job in the cable industry in Saudi Arabia. It was there I was first introduced to cable production, and I’ve been hooked ever since. It is an interesting and ever-changing branch where you learn new things every day – especially here at Habia, with the wide range of special cables that we manufacture. When I moved to Sweden, I was very eager to work at Habia. I already knew the company to be a prestigious and well-known cable manufacturing factory from my work in the industry – and I’m so happy to have succeeded! I work mainly with quality compliance in the factory – both internal and external, from quality checks to customer claims. There’s a lot of analyses and report-writing on corrective and preventive actions and improvements. Working together with my team every day is a joy. There are new challenges and experiences to face, and the problem-solving we do is so inspiring. In the seven years since joining Habia I’ve moved from a limited regional field to a global one. I’m working with a range of new cable types and applications I didn’t have experience with before. To have been given the chance to work with a really professional team in a company with such advanced technology is great, and something I’m very proud of.
