Meet Marcel from Söderfors, Sweden!

Marcel’s top tip: “All work and life experience is important in the end!”

  • I am from The Netherlands and grew up in a village near the west coast of Noord Holland. As a Dutch photographer and artist living on a farm in Sweden with my family, it was hard to find work in my area, and I was feeling quite lonely without a regular job and colleagues. Four years ago, I decided to broaden my horizons, taking on a job as an operator at Habia. Working in production, I realised that some of the qualities and experience I’d gained in my life, study and previous work could actually be very valuable at Habia. Now I’m working as a designer, translating the customers’ requirements into their ideal cable solution. I love the variety of tasks and the technical investigations we undertake to design the best cable – and I’m extremely happy to be in a position where I can bring more ‘Marcel’ to my daily work! My goal now is to become an all-round designer within my fantastic skilled team. The amount and diversity of knowledge among my colleagues at Habia is amazing. This, combined with the experience in production to deliver special cables for specific needs, is something I believe everyone at the company can be proud of.
