Meet Petra from Breda, the Netherlands!

Petra’s top tip: “Create a good balance between work and private life!”

  • I grew up and still live in a small village near Breda in the Netherlands, where I studied Finance and my Master's in Business Administration. I’ve always really liked working with figures. 40 years ago, after finishing my studies, I saw an advertisement for a Financial Assistant, and applied – I’ve been working for Habia Cable ever since! Now I run the full daily routines for the Financial Department at Habia in the Netherlands, including invoicing, debt collection, handling supplier invoices, payments, VAT and all things financial. I really value the freedom I have to handle things independently, and the long-term relationships I’ve built over the years, especially with my colleagues. Over the past 40 years I’ve learned that nothing lasts forever, but that changes, while sometimes difficult, are never insurmountable. In the years ahead I hope to continue my work as it is today, and enjoy the pleasures of life – cycling, walking my dog, dine out and babysitting my 2-year-old granddaughter.

    Petra van Hal-Latour

Financial Manager, Habia Cable, the Netherlands
